Board of Directors: Michele Fonville

 

 

 

 

Michele Fonville, DirectorMichele D. Fonville, joined the Board of Directors of the Darrick Bernard Clark Foundation in February of 2004.  The mother of two school age children, Michele firmly believes that education gives every child the greatest opportunity for community and professional development.  The daughter of a retired Philadelphia school teacher, Michele learned the value of education and its ability to transform lives at a very early age.

Michele is an alumna of Germantown High School in Philadelphia, class of '82, and of Villanova University, class of '86.  She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Communications Arts, from Villanova.  Her volunteer activities include work with the Boy Scotts of America and advocating for disabled children.

Professionally, Michele currently serves as an Information System Security Officer for a Department of Defense agency.  Prior to her current assignment, Michele managed the IT department for the North Region, which comprised of up to eight local and remote employees in six locations. Responsibilities included the design and implementation of a network topology and cable plans for office moves.  Michele managed the $100K IT budget for the North Region including purchasing IT supplies, hardware, software, cabling and maintenance services.
